Our trip to Scandinavia got off to a rocky start when our flight to Chicago was cancelled on Monday.  After waiting for four hours in the airport waiting to hear news, we were saddened to discover that we would not make it to Scandinavia by our scheduled time. We were sent home, or for those of us living further away, to a hotel near the airport, free of charge! For those of us who went home it meant extra time with our families and catching up on sleep, for those of us who stayed at the hotel it meant heading over to the Mall of America and spending a lot of time in the hot tub. We were notified on Monday night that we would need to arrive at the airport at 3:45 Wednesday morning. It was a struggle getting there so early but we all made it and were excited to start our trip to Scandinavia. We are currently in Boston and our first two flights this morning have been short and pleasant. We are looking forward to arriving in Scandinavia tomorrow morning!
